H Factor Competition - Terms & Conditions

How to vote
To vote for your favourite H Factor display simply text OPEN followed by the display’s unique letter to 81066. So, for
Equestrienne – text “OPEN A” to 81066
Saffron Walden – text “OPEN B” to 81066
Knights of Middle England – text “OPEN C” to 81066
Rockin’ Horse – text “OPEN D” to 81066

Please remember to include a space between the OPEN and each display’s unique letter otherwise we will not be able to use your vote.

Text Voting Terms & Conditions

1. Voting is only open to residents of the United Kingdom. Voting signifies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Voting is available each day starting from after the last act has performed on Wednesday 7th April at 7.35pm until 6.30pm on Saturday 10th April.
3. Text votes are counted during the evening performance each day via direct online checking. The audience at the British Open Show Jumping Championships will be updated via the commentators before the end of the evening performance as to which display is in the lead. After the vote has been counted each day, text votes received will be added to the count the following day.
4. The final count of all text votes will be done after voting closes at 6.30pm on Saturday 10th April. Votes received after this time will not be counted but may still be charged in accordance with these terms and conditions.
5. Please be aware voting times may change and Grandstand Event Management reserve the right to alter voting times without notice. The decision of Grandstand Event Management is final and no discussion will be entered into.
6. Each text vote cast will cost 50p (£0.50) plus your service provider's standard text message rate. The total cost is dependent on your network.
7. You may vote as many times as you like, however we do recommend you set yourself a limit and text vote responsibly.
Grandstand Event Management reserves the right to discount votes if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent bulk votes have been cast.
8. Grandstand Event Management may suspend, withdraw or re-set voting at its sole discretion.
9. Please ask permission from the bill payer before voting and please text carefully. All charges will be deducted from your available credit time if you are a pre pay customer or will appear on your monthly statement if you pay monthly.
10. Grandstand Event Management does not accept any responsibility for any network congestion, technical failure or other problem in any telephone line, network, system, provider or otherwise which results in any text not being properly recorded or received.
11. If a display retires or is eliminated from the H Factor, any text votes cast for that display will not be counted, but may still be charged for in accordance with these terms and conditions.
12. There will be no refunds given on text votes cast if a display retires or is eliminated from the event.

Why are the total text votes not displayed for each display?
Grandstand Event Management is committed to openness of information as defined by the Freedom Of Information Act 2000. Information about H Factor voting is not covered by the Freedom of Information Act. This information fits the terms of one or more of the exemptions set out in the Act. For example, the information may be exempt because it is confidential or commercially sensitive. You can find out more information about the Freedom of Information Act at informationcommissioner.gov.uk or by reading the Act online at hmso.gov.uk. In accordance with this Grandstand Event Management are not required to disclose the voting figures under the Act.
