Competition Rules Terms and Conditions
Grandstand Group
These terms and conditions are the Competition Rules (‘’Rules’’) and apply to competitions on the British Open Show Jumping ‘’Site’’ www.britishopenshowjumping.com (‘’Competition’’) and the Horse of the Year Show ‘’Site’’ www.hoys.co.uk (‘’Competition’’), unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering a Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.
The Competition is organised by Grandstand Event Management Ltd and Grandstand Media Ltd to be known as Grandstand of 7 Waterside, Station Road, Harpenden, Hertfordshire AL5 4US.
All entries must be received by the close of business on 30th June 2010.
Grandstand reserve the right to cancel or amend the Competition or Rules without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside Grandstand’s reasonable control. Any changes will be posted within these terms and conditions. A copy of the Rules may also be obtained by sending SAE to: Competition Rules, Grandstand, 7 Waterside, Station Road, Harpenden, Herts, AL5 4US.
In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to a Competition, the decision of Grandstand shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
Competitions are not open to employees of Grandstand, their families, agencies, individual or otherwise any other company associated with the specific Competition.
By entering a Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Grandstand reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
All entrants must be 16 years or over and there is a maximum weight limit of 20 stone. A reasonable level of fitness is also required.
Grandstand reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
The prize winner will be chosen at random by an independent judge from all qualifying entries within 28 days of the closing date. The decision of the judge and Grandstand shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
The Prize winner will be notified by post, email or phone on or before 28th July 2010.
There is one prize consisting of ONE Medieval Jousting Experience Day.
Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Grandstand reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
Your Entry and any information submitted by you must be personal to and relate specifically to you.
Grandstand cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, ill-health, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting or using any prize.
Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent. Please see Grandstand’s privacy policy for further details. Data relating to entrants will be retained by Grandstand for a reasonable period after the Competition closes to assist Grandstand to operate competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries on the Competition.
Only one entry per person. Late, incomplete, or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries.
The winner(s) may be required to take part in publicity.
English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
