Talented dressage riders Andrew Gould and Daniel Timson are set to entertain the crowds at the forthcoming British Open Show Jumping Championships (16th – 19th April at Birmingham’s NEC). On Thursday 16th and Friday 17th April they will perform a spectacular Pas de Deux to music choreographed especially for the Show.
The two internationally acclaimed dressage riders will show their skill and creativity in a bespoke display including movements achieved at the highest levels of training with a sense of fun and entertainment. They are already rehearsing the routine and deliberating on the perfect music to elate the crowds during performances on both Thursday and Friday evening.
Daniel said, “I am thrilled to have been asked to return to the British Open again this year. Andrew and I have been putting together the routine for the Pas de Deux and are now trying to find the perfect music to match it.”
Daniel Timson, based in Loxwood, West Sussex, started his Dressage career in young riders, achieving success and representing Great Britain several times under the guidance of Dane Rawlins. Since then he has competed both nationally and internationally. To date Daniel has benefited as a senior rider with the help and expertise of some of the world’s top dressage trainers, such as Klaus Balkenhol, Henk van Bergen, Johann Hinneman, Paul Fielder and Markus Gribbe.
At only 27 years old, Andrew Gould, based in Bolney, West Sussex, is one of Great Britain’s top Dressage competitors. He is noted and respected by some of the most prominent figures within the sport. As a young rider Andrew competed very successfully internationally, he now competes regularly at all the major UK shows, and has his sights set on World and Olympic level Dressage.
Andrew commented: “After performing at HOYS with Katie Price, I am excited to be returning to the NEC for the British Open. Daniel and I will be working closely together in the run up to the show, to ensure our Pas de Deux routine is flawless and will wow the crowds.”
The Dressage Display will once again form part of the unique programme of world-class show jumping, bespoke competitions such as Indoor Cross Country and mesmerising equestrian displays at this innovative event.
